1. About the Service

FutureFormers is a mentorship platform that pairs young adults (aged 16–32) with experienced mentors in time-bounded cohorts called "cycles". Within each cycle, participants are organised into small groups led by one or more mentors. The Service supports session scheduling, structured questionnaires, mentor-authored session notes, and transactional email between participants.

FutureFormers is provided free of charge to participants. We reserve the right to change the scope of the Service at any time.

2. Eligibility & minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to register. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement, and — if you are between 16 and 17 — that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service and to receive emails from us.

The Service is not intended for, and may not be used by, children under 16.

3. Your account

To use the Service you must register using a Google account. By signing in you authorise us to receive your Google account email, name, profile picture, and subject identifier as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for:

Notify us immediately at e-contact@future-formers.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend access while we investigate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Mentor & mentee conduct

The Service depends on a respectful, safe environment. In particular:

6. Content you submit

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service (e.g., questionnaire answers, profile information, mentor-authored notes). By submitting content you grant FutureFormers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely as required to operate and improve the Service, in line with our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of what you submit. Do not upload content that infringes another person's rights, that you do not have permission to share, or that violates §4 above.

7. Communications

By creating an account you agree to receive transactional emails necessary to operate the Service, including registration confirmations, session reminders, calendar invitations, questionnaire prompts, and (where relevant) mentor or administrator messages within the programme. These are not marketing communications and you cannot opt out without closing your account.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google (Sign-In and Calendar), Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting), and Amazon Web Services (email delivery). Your use of those services through FutureFormers is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the conduct, content, or policies of any third-party service.

9. Intellectual property

All FutureFormers branding, source code, designs, written content, and the structure of the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FutureFormers disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

FutureFormers does not guarantee that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that any mentor pairing will produce a particular outcome, or that the Service will be available without error or interruption. Mandatory consumer-protection rights under German law are not affected by this section.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Because the Service is offered free of charge, we cannot accept liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or loss of data.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FutureFormers and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right. Mandatory consumer-protection rules are not affected by this section.

13. Suspension & termination

You may close your FutureFormers account at any time by emailing e-contact@future-formers.com. We will erase your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if your continued use poses a risk to other participants, or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §6, §9, §10, §11, §12, §15) will survive.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Where you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.

The place of jurisdiction for disputes with users acting as merchants is the operator's place of business in Germany. Consumer disputes may be brought before the courts having jurisdiction at the consumer's residence.
